Promotional Merchandise for Procurement Teams

Zest Promotional is a compliant, documentation-ready promotional merchandise supplier based in Manchester. We provide product safety test reports, ethical sourcing statements, sustainability certifications and dedicated account management — everything procurement teams need to onboard and manage a branded merchandise supplier with confidence.

We work with procurement teams at organisations ranging from growing businesses to large multinationals, including clients in finance, technology and leisure sectors. Whether you're adding us to an approved supplier list, responding to an ESG policy requirement, or managing an ongoing brand merchandise programme, we provide the documentation and service structure you need from day one.

Compliance & Documentation

We only work with factories that are fully compliant and can provide test reports. All documentation is available on request and supplied transparently — we don't treat compliance as a box-ticking exercise.

Product Safety

Test reports from certified institutes are available for any product we supply, covering materials, branding methods and country of manufacture.

EU REACH & EN71

Products comply with REACH chemical regulations and EN71 toy safety standards where applicable. Documentation provided as standard for relevant categories.

Ethical Sourcing

We operate a Modern Slavery Policy and can provide supplier ethical sourcing statements on request. We do not work with factories that cannot demonstrate compliance with minimum labour standards.

Sustainability Certifications

Certifications available include GOTS, FSC, OEKO-TEX and RPET. We filter product recommendations to meet your ESG or sustainability policy requirements. See our Sustainability page for full detail.

ISO 9001

Our supply chain includes ISO 9001 certified manufacturing partners, providing a documented quality management framework from production through to delivery.

Play It Green

Since 2022, we've partnered with Play It Green to offset our business carbon footprint. Supporting documentation is available for net-zero supply chain reporting.

What We Provide as a Managed Supplier

Beyond compliance documentation, these are the operational qualities that matter most for procurement relationships.

Account Management

Every client is assigned a dedicated account manager. Consistent contact means brand guidelines are maintained without re-briefing and the relationship improves over time.

Clear Paper Trail

All orders are confirmed with formal quotations. Purchase orders, pro forma invoices, delivery notes and invoices are issued as standard, supporting your internal approval and audit processes.

Brand Control

Our in-house design team stores approved artwork and brand guidelines and applies them consistently across every order. No drift between orders, no resubmitting brand assets.

Storage & Fulfilment

Branded stock can be held in our secure warehouse and called off as needed — to single or multiple addresses, UK or internationally.

Webshop

For larger programmes, we can set up a branded webshop giving authorised staff access to an approved product range with centralised control of spend and brand.

Pre-Production Approval

Samples with your artwork are available for formal sign-off before bulk production begins, reducing risk on larger orders.

Supplier Vetting & Approved Supplier Lists

If you need to complete a supplier vetting process before we can work together, we're set up for it. We can provide:

Documents Available

  • Company registration and insurance documentation
  • Modern Slavery Policy and ethical sourcing statement
  • Sustainability and carbon offsetting documentation
  • Product safety test reports for specific categories
  • GDPR and data handling policy
  • Bank and trade references on request
  • Play It Green carbon offsetting certification

What to Expect

We complete supplier questionnaires regularly and have most documentation to hand. If your organisation uses a specific vetting platform or portal, we'll work within your process.

For organisations with specific ESG reporting requirements, we can provide additional detail on our supply chain practices and sustainability credentials.

We've supplied clients including Amazon, Qatar Airways and Edwardian Hotels — organisations with significant supplier compliance requirements — so this process is familiar territory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you be added to our approved supplier list?

Yes. We complete supplier questionnaires regularly and can provide all standard documentation including company registration, insurance, Modern Slavery Policy, GDPR policy, sustainability credentials and product safety test reports. If you use a specific supplier portal or vetting platform, we're comfortable working within your process.

Can you provide product safety test reports?

Yes. We only work with factories that are fully compliant and can provide test reports. Reports from certified testing institutes are available for any product we supply, covering relevant standards such as EU REACH, EN71 and others applicable to the product category and destination market. We provide these transparently — no chasing required.

We have a sustainability policy that requires certified products — can you accommodate that?

Yes. We can filter all product recommendations to meet specific certification requirements — GOTS, FSC, OEKO-TEX, RPET and others. Share your policy requirements at the briefing stage and we'll only present options that qualify. We don't make sustainability claims we can't document.

Can multiple people in our organisation place orders with brand controls in place?

Yes. For organisations where multiple teams or regions need to order merchandise, we can set up a branded webshop with an approved product range. Authorised users can place and track orders independently while you maintain central control of the brand and product selection. Alternatively, all orders can be routed through your account manager for manual approval.

What payment terms do you offer?

New clients typically pay by pro forma invoice before production begins. Credit accounts with standard payment terms are available for established clients and organisations on approved supplier lists — discuss this with your account manager at the outset.
